At Shi Farms, we’ve been in the hemp industry since the beginning. As of 2019, we’ve grown to operate a 300 acre farm with over 40,000 square feet of greenhouses, and we’re backed by a knowledgeable team who bring decades of farming experience to the table. In other words, we’re passionate about what we do and we have plenty of hands-on expertise in knowing what it takes to successfully operate a farm while also catering to our many clients who are looking for wholesale CBD.
Needless to say, our line of work is one in which things are always changing. Every day presents a new challenge, but the good news is that the team at Shi Farms is up to the task! Although it can certainly be stressful, we don’t let the anxiety get to us.
Which brings us to our topic of the day — can CBD help lessen anxiety? What does the science say on the matter? The research is fairly deep, so let’s dive in and take a look at the highlights. Keep reading to learn more!
A Look at the Research
First and foremost, we should note that although research on CBD is still in its early stages, what we’ve seen so far is incredibly encouraging! As Medical News Today notes, “CBD oil is rich in chemicals called cannabinoids that bind to specialized receptors in the brain.” The benefit of CBD — also known as cannabidiol — is that it bonds to the receptors in your brain without giving you the high that marijuana is known for.
Although medical marijuana offers a number of useful benefits as well, many people aren’t interested in its side effects. This, as you might imagine, makes CBD or hemp really great options. Medical News Today notes a handful of studies that showed very promising results regarding the use of CBD for anxiety. In one, “brain scans of participants revealed changes in blood flow to the regions of the brain linked to feelings of anxiety” after using CBD. In another, research showed that participants reported a reduction in their social anxiety. In 2015, an analysis of previous studies showed that CBD was found to be beneficial in helping with several forms of anxiety in addition to panic disorders, OCD, and PTSD.
Is It Right For You?
Because we’re still in the early stages of seeing research on CBD, our advice is to give it a try and see what works for you. Keep in mind that you may have to experiment with doses to see what is effective. We should also mention that before you make any changes, it’s wise to speak with your doctor; this is especially true if you’re on any medications. After all, it’s always best to take the safest approach possible to your health!
“Is CBD safe?” This is one of the questions we get asked the most frequently. Our answer is that when you buy it from a reputable source (like Shi Farms!) then yes, because we’re incredibly transparent about our products and our process. As we mentioned above, we have been around since the beginning. In fact, we got our start by assisting one of the first companies to pioneer the CBD space moving forward. At the end of the day, our goal is to provide steady reliability in terms of both the quality of our product and our commitment to sustainability. As a Colorado hemp farm, we know the ins and outs of the industry and there’s nothing we love more than providing CMP-certified products that are traceable back to us. In short, if your product is from Shi Farms, you can expect it to be of the highest caliber. It’s as simple as that!
