If you’ve been following along with the team at Shi Farms on Facebook or Instagram, you probably know that we love attending events that allow us to share our knowledge of the industry and continue to learn what others are doing. That’s why we recently attended the Hemp Forum at MJBizCon. It was such a wonderful way to cap off the end of the year and it allowed us the perfect opportunity to renew ourselves on our mission for the upcoming year.
As a matter of fact, Steven Turetsky of Shi Farms participated in the forum, sharing a bit about making employees at hemp farms and co-ops a priority. We’ll be breaking down some of what he shared as well as providing readers with a few highlights of the forum below, so keep reading to learn more!
Staying Up-To-Date in the Fast-Moving Hemp Industry
Needless to say, the 2019 Hemp Industry Forum was a big deal, and as Hemp Industry Daily notes, “The forum drew more than 500 entrepreneurs from all sectors of the hemp supply chain to learn strategies for success in the fast-moving hemp industry.” In other words, there were plenty of opportunities for attendees to grow their knowledge base, taking information back home to make a difference in their communities.
As we mentioned above, Steven Turetsky of Shi Farms was at the event, speaking on the importance of putting employees first. “We have to do right by them because they do most of the work,” he said, and that’s a priority for everyone here at Shi Farms. We love being about to round out the year talking about just how thankful we are for our employees because we know how incredibly fortunate we are to have a team that’s as passionate about our mission as we are.
At Shi Farms, we believe that the future of hemp lies on the quality of our products, but also on the example that we can set globally for sustainability in agriculture and business practices alike. In other words, we want to do everything we possibly can to move our industry forward, sharing the knowledge that we’ve gained with others who are on board to do the same.
Sharing Knowledge to Advance Our Industry
Others at the 2019 Hemp Industry Forum shared their tips on everything from the price of CBD oils, the CBD industry, compliance with local laws, and finding quality team members to join your company. With so many different perspectives and leaders from different backgrounds, hearing unique approaches was truly enlightening and it’s an experience that we’re very thankful to have. As we mentioned, our attendance was truly a joy and it was the perfect way to round out the year while also gaining helpful insights that will lead us into 2020.
Open source communication within our community is something that we’ve always believed in and that’s why it’s a blast to attend conventions where people are sharing their knowledge and helping each other to grow and succeed. It truly is an inspiration to us when we attend these events and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who has helped us on our path. We look forward to an even better year ahead as we seek to help our entire industry grow and make history. It’s a responsibility that we don’t take lightly, and we’re here to ensure that our industry stands the test of time.
